In the College of Science and Engineering, we not only want to provide you with an outstanding academic experience that prepares you for a successful career, but we also want you to feel connected to our St Cloud State University community. In support of this commitment, our departments host a variety of program-level events, COSE hosts college-level get togethers like Trivia Night and our annual volleyball tournament, various student organizations host events throughout the academic year, and COSE supports multiple Huskies First Four events, as well as college-level commencement celebrations. The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) is an initiative funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF grant #1201983) which is intended to double the number of African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Alaska Native and Pacific Islander students receiving baccalaureate degrees in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) in a five-year period. In Minnesota, the LSAMP program is called the North Star STEM Alliance.
